• This is the brand new website for It's In Your Heart based out of Pa.

Darrell Blaine was formally trained at a local Philadelphia collage in music where he studied voice and piano. However he found playing guitar and singing more his style, and soon all his songs were being written and played that way. The sound is uniquely Folk. Blaine's talents include acoustic guitar, voice, piano, and electric bass, he writes all the music and lyrics.

Although when asked he explains, "... the words are like water moving through a dam, the dam can not take credit for the water that passes through it.  It's job is only to be in the correct station so the water can pass through."

When asked further, He accounts taking credit (ego & pride) to be quite presumptuous and unenlightened. "How can a man do Gods work?," he says. "Man can not do Gods work, God does Gods work through men. Our goal is to be in a state of love and compassion so God can do His work through us."

Gibson Montana Gold  Reed flutes, acoustic guitar, Stand-up acoustic Bass, normal & African drums, and other percussion instruments make a folk sound unlike any other.

Because of different events occuring in Blaine's life his first Cd is still not ready. We will remain faithful God will provide a way for the masses to also hear these wonderful songs.

One can find these songs enlighten, moving, and surprisingly accurate. Rhythm goes from heavy rockin' to mellow with a country flare. Casual listening of this CD is fun and easy, listening with a more attentive ear will bring a wonderfully serendipitous event to your heart and soul.

           With a mother and father
who spent a good part of their respective lives in theater (off Broadway, NY,NY) singing, dancing, and acting, it's not unexpected their son would be a performer too. Being in 'little theater' for the first 14 years of my life surrounded by theater people it is surly in my DNA. I began to bang on the piano at three or four, by fourteen I was in a band writing the music, playing the bass guitar, and lead singing at many parties.

College ensued with an Associates degree in Music. Voice and composition were the majors. This is when the transition from piano to acoustic Guitar took place. In 30 years the careers have been filled with many experiences - Managing hotels, Sales trainer, Motivational speaker, Copy-writing, Business owner, but always singer/songwriter, performer.
Steeped heavily in the love of God, feeling always the call to ‘do more'. The lyrics have always been about life and the pursuit of inner joy and enlightenment.
I am now also a Music reviewer. What we really do is listen carefully to each and every word in the songs. If we can't hear them clearly we search out the printed song list, and read them along with the songs.

I have studied religion from many different views.
Having a mother who traveled, but was determined her children would ‘Get God'. We would drive around each Saturday and or Sunday and see a place of worship and say, "Ya, that looks good, let's go in there." So I was exposed to all of the big three (Judaism-synagogues, Christianity- churches and Islam - mosques) and many other subsets. baptists, protestants, sufis, catholics, Jehovah's, unitarians, non-denominational, buddhist, hindus, even praying in mosques & studding islam, I experienced some of everything.

    Above all I learned this:
"We are all Gods children, self realized or not. In acceptance or not, there is only one God with a vast variety of methods and rituals to honor Him, to pray to Him, to Love Him, indeed to merge with Him. And, I am not the judge of any of them. That which separates me from my fellow man, is what separates me from God."
Goal: to be one with all of man, hence becoming one with God.

In my years I have learned to love and respect them all. It is with these skills and this humility new songs are written about life, living it, and the love of God. These songs that come from ones heart truly can not be claimed, but in todays world of money and greed, copyrighting is necessary, yet it is by no means I would actually claim or try to take credit for the music that moves thru me. Many artist share this view and make similar commentary, May God be pleased with them all.

Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, Moses, Aaron, david, Solomon, Elias, Jonah, John(the Baptist) Jesus, Muhammad(pbuh)

You see, the same one God sent them all - it was 'man' who seperated the history of man into parts, not God.

Ok, it's not all God, here's what we do for fun at our house... mx track in up-state Pa. called Rousch Creek

I now ride an CRF250X and son rides the CRF230F... cool :-)

2011 update - the website "sing4life.com", the music review site, has been laid-to-rest, I have made my good-bye's to my class room in Al-Aqsa Islamic academy where I was teaching English and Literature to 7th, 8th, and 9th graders.

Currently I am enrolled in W.C.University getting  Certified in English and Science w/a Masters in English. This turn of events reminds me of a joke:

    Q. Do you know how to make God laugh?

     A. Tell Him your plan.
